We are hiring - Counter Server / Sweet Packer person required ! Start June
This position is for our Howden premises - above Groovy Moo Ice Cream Parlour. It is on the first floor of the building. The position is part time at 23 hours per week over 4 days and includes working Saturdays. The post will be available from June 2021.
The hours are Mon 1pm - 4pm, Wed 10am - 5pm, Friday 9am - 5pm & Saturday 10.30am - 3.30pm

The position is outlined below, and it consists of packing sweets for the shop, packing sweets for customers and packing sweets for our online orders.
Meet & greet & serving our lovely customers in our ‘pop up shop’ which is open Wed, Thur, Fri & will be open on a Sat when the new person starts.
You must have worked in retail or a customer service type role previously. This is essential.
The key attributes for the person we require are:
Hardworking, Committed, will go ABCD for customers, customer focussed, has integrity, honesty, can work alone and to deadlines, is fun, outgoing and energetic, can use online systems such as e-commerce & Click and Drop (training will be given), ability to pack sweets to the high standard expected which must be presented perfectly, attention to detail, great written and verbal communication skills (You will be writing gift tags and speaking to customers), a willingness to learn and attend training such as a hygiene course. Attention to detail is one of the main attributes I will be looking for. Please ensure you have double checked your CV for dates, grammar, spelling errors and punctuation!
What you will get in return:
Up to £9.00 per hour.**

Pro rata holidays (16 days per year)
Ongoing development for right person with potential promotion to Supervisor, and further down the line to Store Manager.
Bank holidays off (can take as part of holiday or as unpaid leave)

The recruitment process is:
CV review* - closing date is Mon 24th May at 6pm, if you are successful there will be an interview via Face-Time to discuss your experience further, if you are successful at this interview there will be an on site meeting to assess candidates on the key attributes listed such as attention to detail, communication skills and ability to listen.
We will then notify the successful candidate and offer a contract of employment to start at a mutually convenient date. . As it is important we get the right person for a long term partnership, we are happy to wait for the best person. If this recruitment drive doesn’t bring us the person we need, we will recruit again.
